The Novo Conference System at G.B. Pant (NIHE)

By manager, on May 20, 2023

The G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment, located in the serene surroundings of Almora, Uttarakhand, recognized the need for a reliable and efficient conference system to enhance its meeting spaces. To meet these requirements, the institute chose the Novo Conference System, known for its simplicity, affordability, and robust design, to transform their communication infrastructure.

The Novo Conference System’s ability to support up to 110 microphone units simultaneously, along with features such as automatic sound activation, adjustable active speakers, and time limit settings, perfectly addressed the institute’s needs. Its wired loop In-Out connectivity, utilizing standard STP Cat5e network cables, ensured seamless communication between discussion units and the central controller, making installation both quick and efficient.

The discussion units, built with durable aluminum alloyed metal die-cast, offer a premium and long-lasting design. Each unit is equipped with a high-sensitivity shotgun microphone featuring a status light ring, guaranteeing crystal-clear communication during conferences. The system’s integration with video cameras, capable of tracking up to four active speakers, provided a seamless audio-video experience, enhancing engagement and productivity in meetings.

Flexibility is another hallmark of the Novo Conference System, offering multiple speech modes such as FIFO, Automatic, Request, and Sound Activated. Its Automatic Gain technology prevents feedback issues, ensuring impeccable voice clarity. Additionally, the system supports camera connection and speaker tracking through RS232 and RS422 ports and includes 2×2 Dante digital input and output for integration with other digital solutions.

Installed across the institute’s conference rooms, assembly halls, and classrooms, the Novo Conference System has significantly upgraded communication capabilities. Its plug-and-play operation and advanced features align with the institute’s goal of fostering effective collaboration and knowledge exchange. This project highlights the transformative power of cutting-edge audio-visual technology in supporting academic and research excellence.
